Ever since I made the turkey, I’ve been putting the leftovers to good use, in recipes like the Breakfast Casserole I shared yesterday, and this Cranberry Turkey Puff Pastry recipe.

Seriously, it’s so gorgeous, you might just want to slice up some turkey and make this recipe for Thanksgiving dinner!

Cranberry Turkey Puff Pastry Recipe

Braiding puff pastry is one of my greatest tricks for making a dish look WAY more complicated than it actually is! 😉

The great thing about this dish is that it’s perfect for Thanksgiving leftovers, but also easily made year-round as a fancy looking, but so easy to make, appetizer for parties!

Cranberry Turkey Puff Pastry Recipe Ingredients

Ingredients

  • 1 puff pastry sheet (de-thawed)
  • 2 oz cream cheese (softened)
  • 1 cup shredded leftover turkey
  • ½ cup cranberry jalapeno relish (←click link for recipe)
  • 1 egg + 1 tsp water (whisked together for egg wash)

Preheat oven to 400°F.

Lay the puff pastry sheet flat on parchment paper.

To make the braided top, slice a triangle from the bottom of each side of the pastry dough, then slice ½ inch diagonal lines up each side of the pastry dough.

Spread the cream cheese down the middle.

Top with the turkey, then the cranberry relish.

Lay the rectangular end of the puff pastry over the filling, then begin on one side, and lay one strip of dough over the filling, then alternate laying a strip of dough from the other side, then alternate back and forth, back and forth, over the filling.

Once the entire puff pastry is wrapped up, transfer it on the parchment paper to a baking sheet.

Brush with the egg wash.

Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown.
