Beef and Broccoli Stir Fry Recipe

About a week ago I was craving Beef Chow Fun from my favorite local Chinese restaurant.

Instead of heading into downtown to grab a bowl at the restaurant, I decided to come up with a recipe to make it at home. And of course I had to share it on the blog!

If you’re not familiar with Beef Chow Fun, it’s a Chinese stir fry dish made with beef, bean sprouts and wide rice noodles, AKA hor fun, which is how the dish gets it’s name.

Unfortunately I was not able to find wide rice noodles or bean sprouts at any of the three grocery stores I regularly shop at, which is how this dish became slightly transformed from Beef Chow Fun to Beef and Broccoli Stir Fry.

I used broccolini instead of broccoli, simply because I think it makes a more stylish bowl of noodles. (Seriously, only a food blogger refers to bowls of noodles as stylish, lol!) At home, you can use broccoli or broccolini, whichever you prefer!

Even though I had to veer from the original recipe I had planned, I love how this beef and broccoli recipe turned out! It’s full of flavor, made in only 25 minutes and all of the ingredients are easily found at any major grocery store!
