Easter is right around the corner, and I don’t know about y’all, but Easter Brunch is one of my favorite times of the year to get together with friends and family and enjoy delicious food!

It’s kind of like the “Thanksgiving of Spring”, but instead of turkey, we have ham and instead of mashed potatoes, we have crispy french toast sticks! 😉

French toast has always been one of my go-to favorite brunch recipes, and making french toast into french toast sticks, just makes them more fun and dunk-able!

Instead of syrup, I drizzled these crispy french toast sticks with honey. Sweet, delicious and pairs perfectly with the macadamia nut crust!

What You’ll Need

  • 1 cup milk
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 tbsp honey + more for dipping
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 4 cups corn flakes (crushed)
  • 1 cup macadamia nuts (finely chopped)
  • 8 slices King’s Hawaiian Sweet Sliced Bread (sliced into 1 inch sticks)
  • 2 tbsp butter

How to Make Crispy French Toast Sticks

Whisk the milk, eggs, 1 tbsp honey and cinnamon together in a shallow bowl.

Combine the crushed corn flakes and chopped macadamia nuts in another shallow bowl.

Dip the King’s Hawaiian bread “sticks” in the egg mixture, then roll in the corn flakes and macadamia nuts.

Once all of the french toast sticks are prepared. Heat the butter in a large skillet over medium heat.

Add them to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes per side.

Drizzle with the honey, or serve on the side for dipping.
