When partnering up with my friends at Crazy Cuizine to turn their already delicious General Tso’s Chicken into a new, fun recipe, I had to get a little crazy (see what I did there!), so I took one of my favorite breakfast recipes and combined it with one of my favorite Chinese dishes.
General Tso’s Sweet Potato Hash
Sweet potatoes pair perfectly with sweet and spicy General Tso’s Chicken, toss in a few more veggies and you’ve got a delicious meal that can be eaten any time of the day.
The best part is, Crazy Cuizine has already prepared the sauce for you, so after a little slicing and dicing of the veggies, just pop the dish in the oven and in under 29 minutes, you have a delicious meal on the table!

General Tso’s Sweet Potato Hash
Ingredients
- 22 oz box Crazy Cuizine General Tso’s Chicken
- 2 lbs sweet potatoes, diced
- 1 cup onion, diced
- 1 jalapeno, seeded & minced
- ½ cup red bell pepper, diced
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp chinese five spice
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ cup green onions, sliced
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F.
- Remove the sauce packet from the box of Crazy Cuizine General Tso’s Chicken, place under warm running water to thaw, then set aside.
- Remove the bag of chicken, place on a baking sheet and toss with the sweet potatoes, onion, jalapeno, red bell pepper, garlic, olive oil, Chinese five spice and salt.
- Place in the oven for 15-18 minutes.
- Heat contents of sauce packet in a small saucepan over medium-low heat for 2 minutes, or until warm.
- Pour the sauce over the chicken and sweet potato hash and toss to coat. Let stand 2-3 minutes before serving. Top with green onions and serve.
