Easily make shredded buffalo chicken for tacos, dips or pasta recipes with this simple Instant Pot Buffalo Chicken recipe!
It’s officially y’all, I’m part of the Instant Pot tribe!!
After many requests from readers for Instant Pot recipes, I joined the club and will be sharing new pressure cooker recipes made in the Instant Pot every month!
I decided to start out with something simple, but useful, and one of my personal favorites, buffalo chicken.
Making shredded chicken is one of the first things I tried in the Instant Pot. I’ve been using my traditional pressure cooker for years to make shredded chicken for recipes like my famous Buffalo Chicken Cheesy Penne, Greek Chicken Salad Sandwiches and BBQ Chicken Mac and Cheese.
For the Instant Pot Buffalo Chicken, I simply added my favorite buffalo sauce to the Instant Pot with the chicken, pressed the poultry button and walked away. It’s seriously that easy!
The great thing about this Instant Pot Buffalo Chicken recipe is that you can use it to make meals all week for lunch or dinner!
For every pound of chicken, you’ll want to add ¾ cup of buffalo sauce to the Instant Pot. For this recipe, I used two pounds of chicken and 1 ½ cups buffalo sauce, which is 12 oz, or the standard size bottle of Frank’s RedHot Buffalo Sauce.
Depending on how many recipes you want to prep for the week, you might want to make more chicken. Each pound of chicken will yield approximately 3 cups of shredded buffalo chicken. I’ve listed how many cups of buffalo chicken you’ll need for each recipe below.
