As I prepare for the official WhitneyBond.com Rebranding Party tomorrow night, I felt like this was the perfect time to get to know a little more about me!
I recently became part of the Porch.com blogger program and they were nice enough to include me in their “On The Front Porch” blogger interview series!
The first half of the interview is hosted on their blog where I answer the following questions:
- Favorite comfort food?
- What are 3 words to describe your blog?
- Tell us about a time when you had major cooking fail (we’ve all had them!)
- Describe your dream kitchen!
- How did you become interested in blogging?
- Strangest item in your pantry?
- Hardest part about blogging?
- Best part about blogging?
The second half of the interview can be found below!
If your life were a song, what would it be?
Pharrell – Happy
Pinterest or Facebook?
Pinterest for business, all the way! It’s the perfect platform for sharing content, such as recipes, which is great for introducing people to my blog!
What meal brings back the fondest memories?
Christmas Dinner, particularly the stuffing (my favorite part!) My Mom loves Christmas more than anyone I know, so growing up, this holiday was always my favorite, filled with tons of decorations, family, fun and of course, so much delicious food!
{Blackberry Jalapeño Pulled Pork Tacos}
What are you exceptionally good at? (Permission to brag)
Creating unique, yet approachable recipes. When I began blogging about recipes that I would create in my kitchen, I wanted to show the interesting things I’d toss together with “what’s in my fridge”. As the blog grew, I made it my goal to always create one-of-a-kind recipes that any home cook could make. Taking a traditional recipe and giving it a twist, which lead to the tagline on my site – Traditional Recipes with a Bond Girl Twist!

What’s the weirdest thing you’ve collected?
I collect coffee mugs and beer tasting glasses. Not sure if those are weird things to collect, but I’m becoming a little obsessive! I had to add extra shelves to my dining room to support my collections! You’ll see a lot of these pictured on my Instagram page!
What are 3 things everyone should have in their pantry?
Pasta, olive oil & salt
Best tip for keeping your kitchen organized?
Make your kitchen work for you. Put the things that you use most often on the countertop or somewhere easily accessible. I have a wall of hanging spice racks in the back of my kitchen so that I can easily access my spices at all times!

Favorite words to live by?
Everything happens for a reason. It took a lot of things going wrong, to lead me down the path to a career in blogging. I now realize that all of those things went wrong for a reason. If I would have gotten that “dream job” five years ago, I never would have started blogging, and I never would have found my true dream job!
Thanks so much for taking a little time out of your day to read my Porch.com interview!
I hope to see many of you at the WhitneyBond.com Rebranding Party tomorrow night {click the link for details on the rebranding & party!}
