Philly Cheesesteak Mac & Cheese

This insanely delicious Mac and Cheese recipe is a seriously scrumptious twist on the Philly Cheesesteak and it’s easily made in only 29 minutes!
Allow me to introduce you to the BEST MAC & CHEESE EVER! What started as an experiment almost 2 months ago, lead me to the most amazing twist on a Philly Cheesesteak ever!
I’m serious y’all, after several attempts, I’ve finally perfected this mac & cheese recipe and I can’t wait for you all to try it!
The combination of provolone and cream cheese makes for a perfectly creamy sauce, tossed with sautéed veggies, ground beef and macaroni noodles, this dish is full of flavor and I guarantee you’ll be making it over and over again!
The best part is, it’s super easy and made in only 29 minutes!
Ingredients
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 cups green bell pepper (medium dice)
- 1 cup onion (medium dice)
- 1 cup portobello mushrooms (medium dice)
- 1 lb ground beef
- 2 cups uncooked macaroni noodles
- 8 oz provolone cheese (grated)
- 8 oz cream cheese (cubed)
- 2 cups milk
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
Add the butter to a large skillet over medium high heat. Once melted, add the bell pepper, onion and mushrooms, cook 4-5 minutes, then add the ground beef, cook through then drain the grease from the skillet and rinse the ground beef, then set aside.
While the veggies and beef are cooking, heat a large pot of water to boil on the stove.
Add the macaroni noodles and cook according to the package directions, drain, then return to the pot on the stove over medium heat and add the provolone cheese, cream cheese, milk, salt and pepper, stir consistently as the cheese melts into a sauce.
Once the sauce is smooth and creamy, add the beef & veggies to the pot and serve immediately.
Now that’s some insane cheesy deliciousness!!
Philly Cheesesteak Mac & Cheese

Love this recipe! One of my all time favorites, I like to meal prep this and put it in the freezer rather than buying frozen dinners at the grocery store for those busy days I need to eat dinner at work.
