Sriracha Steak Fried Rice

This quick and easy Sriracha Steak Fried Rice recipe is made in one pot, in under 30 minutes, perfect for weeknight dinners in a hurry!
Yesterday marked the first day of the Chinese New Year. I celebrated by whipping up this Sriracha Steak Fried Rice recipe!
It’s everything you want in a Chinese recipe at home, quick, easy and delicious! The entire recipe is made in one pan, and in only 15 minutes!
I love the kick of Sriracha for spice and flavor, and you can’t beat adding steak to a simple weeknight dinner!
Sriracha Steak Fried Rice Ingredients
- 2 tbsp sesame oil (divided)
- 1 cup onion (diced)
- 2 cups frozen peas
- 2 cloves garlic (minced)
- 2 eggs
- 1 lb skirt steak (sliced)
- ½ cup soy sauce (Tamari for gluten free)
- 1 tsp fresh ginger (grated) or ½ tsp ground ginger
- ¼ cup sriracha
- 4 cups cooked white rice
- ¼ cup green onions (chopped)
Sriracha Steak Fried Rice Instructions
Heat 1 tablespoon sesame oil in a large pan or wok over medium-high heat. Add the onions and peas. Cook 4-5 minutes, then add the garlic.
Cook for 1 minute then move the vegetables to one side of the pan and crack the eggs in the other side.
Scramble the eggs, then combine with the vegetables.
Move the vegetables and eggs to one side of the pan. Pour the additional tablespoon of sesame oil in the other side of the pan. Add the steak and cook for 1-2 minutes, until seared on the outside.
Add the soy sauce, ginger and Sriracha. Mix everything together.
Add the rice, combine everything and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes.
Add the green onions and serve.

Made it according to the recipe and it was delicious! I have made this so many times that I have also made many variations and tweaks. I love that its very versatile. I have substituted chicken or shrimp for the steak, and even couscous for the rice to make it a bit healthier. You can also use vegetables that you have in the kitchen. Just make sure to always use the Sesame Oil, onions, soy sauce, garlic and ginger as they definitely build up the flavor!
