When I first started making smoothie bowls at home, Kurt was very confused as to what a “smoothie bowl” exactly was.

I explained it to him as a great alternative for people who love smoothies, but also like to “eat” something with their smoothie. You get the delicious smoothie flavor packed with tons of heathy ingredients and vitamins, and topped with even more healthy, tasty toppings that you can “bite into”.

The “bowl trend” is nothing new, it’s been hitting dinner tables and used for meal prepping lunches for the past couple of years.

In fact, some of my most popular recipes are “bowl recipes” like Bruschetta Grilled Chicken Zoodle Bowls, Vegan Thai Peanut Sweet Potato Bowls and Veggie Fajita Rice Bowls. Now, I’m bringing the bowl revolution to breakfast with these Avocado Smoothie Bowls!
