This Jalapeño Watermelon Mojito Recipe is light and refreshing with a slight kick of spice, made delicious as a cocktail or as a mocktail!
It’s Thursday, which means that it’s almost the weekend!
And since 4th of July falls on a Saturday this year, most people have Friday off, which means it’s basically Friday! Time to make yourself a mojito! 😉
This mojito recipe was inspired by my mission to create the perfect cocktail to pair with the Chorizo Tostadas with Watermelon Serrano Salsa I made earlier this week.
Let me just say, mission accomplished!
Watermelon Mojito Ingredients
- 2 (1 inch) cubes fresh watermelon
- 1 small lime (juiced)
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 tbsp fresh mint leaves
- 3 slices fresh jalapeño (seeded)
- 2 oz white rum
- Ice
- 1 cup ginger ale
Watermelon Mojito Instructions
Add the watermelon, lime juice, sugar, mint and jalapeno to a glass.
Muddle everything together.
Add the rum and ice to the glass. Top with the ginger ale.
Light and refreshing with just a slight kick of spice! The perfect watermelon mojito recipe for sipping by the pool!
Since I made these in the middle of the afternoon, on a Monday, I made one as the recipe suggests, then I made one without the rum to sip on while I finished the days work. Both were equally delicious!
Because there’s so much flavor in the mint, watermelon and jalapeño, simply topped with ginger ale, this makes a delicious virgin cocktail, AKA mocktail!

Oh, I’ve made watermelon mojito, but I’ve never incorporated jalapeño. Indeed, I would never have figured out to add it, but that sounds good! Nicely done, Whitney! P.S. Congrats on coming July the 4th and happy long (long-long) weekend:)
Thanks so much Ben!
