I’ve been making my own Taco Seasoning for years, but lately I’ve started filling my pantry with all of my favorite seasoning blends.

I love keeping French Onion Dip Mix and Ranch Seasoning Mix on hand to easily make my own dips! I always use homemade Fajita Seasoning and Chili Seasoning to spice up my fajitas and chili recipes.  And I always have my own Pumpkin Pie Spice in the pantry during the fall and winter months!

The taco seasoning is perfect in this easy Crock Pot Taco Soup. And the French Onion Dip Mix makes the most delicious Instant Pot French Onion Pot Roast.

The Pumpkin Pie Spice is a wonderful addition to this Apple Crumble recipe. And Italian seasoning is great for adding to pasta sauces, roasted veggies and lots of authentic Italian recipes.

How do you make it?

Simply combine the following ingredients in a small bowl or mason jar.

  • dried basil
  • dried oregano
  • dried thyme
  • dried minced garlic
  • dried minced onions
  • red pepper flakes
  • dried rosemary

How long does it last?

The seasoning will last 6 months stored in a half pint mason jar in the pantry. After 6 months, it’s still safe to use but will lose some of it’s flavor, so I do recommend making a fresh batch after 6 months.

What is it used for?

Italian seasoning can be used in traditional Italian recipes like pizza sauce, marinara sauce, meatballs and lasagna. It can also be used to marinate chicken or beef, or toss it with veggies for roasting.
