Ingredients
Hawaiian Pizza
13.8ozpizza dough
2cupssriracha pizza sauce, recipe below
2ozprosciutto, thinly sliced
1cuppineapple, diced
½cupmandarin oranges, sliced
4ozfresh mozzarella cheese, sliced
½cupparmesan cheese, grated
1tbspsriracha
Sriracha Pizza Sauce
2tbspolive oil
4clovesgarlic, minced
8ozcan tomato sauce
28ozcan diced tomatoes
6oztomato paste
¼cupsriracha
¼cuphoney
½tspkosher salt
½tspdried oregano, or 1 tsp fresh oregano
¼tspcrushed red pepper
Instructions
Sriracha Pizza Sauce
Add the olive oil to a large pot over medium heat.
Add the garlic, and saute 1-2 minutes.
Add the tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, tomato paste, sriracha and honey.
Add the salt, oregano and crushed red pepper.
Mix everything together and bring to a simmer.
Reduce to low, cover and simmer for 20-25 minutes.
Hawaiian Pizza
Preheat the oven to 425°F.
Place the dough on a baking stone and roll into a thin crust.
Place in the oven for 5 minutes.
Remove from the oven and spread the sauce over the crust, top with the prosciutto, pineapple, oranges, mozzarella and parmesan.
Bake for 10-12 minutes.
Notes
The sauce recipe provided makes approximately 6 cups of pizza sauce. While only 2 cups of sauce are needed to make one Hawaiian pizza, the other 4 cups can be stored in the refrigerator or freezer until ready to use.
